Like most people, sometimes I drift off into thoughts of my past. I go as far back as elementary school, wondering what became of friends of old.
Like my neighbors Susan, Ted and Tommy Simpsons, Evelyn and Nelson Vasquez, Kathy Alverez, Latonya and Lavette Rice, Carmen Feliciano.
Cassandra Genobaga, Adrienne Caesar, Patricia McQueen,Corinthia Lewis,Paul Blanchardo, Max Logan, Glenda Smith and the list goes on.
One day 2 years ago I went to US Search.com and gave it a test run, it is free to get a list of names relevant to your search. My bestfriend Glenda was my childhood through adulthood friend. I wanted to find her, especially since my cousin told me one day while traveling downtown Chicago, she ran into Glenda.
I had not seen Glenda in 19 years. I often wonder what happened to her. She was that friend that stuck by you through good and bad times. She was the one that made you laugh when you wanted to cry, and the one that stood out the most because of her southern disposition.
The list gave me at least 12 listings. I decided to proceed further, and to my amazement the price was as cheap as a phone call. I received names, addresses and phone numbers. One by one I began going down the list, until the 5th number I came across a familiar voice.
It was Glenda's mother Betty. Oh we shared so much information and she gave me the phone number to Glenda's home, cell and work. I could not believe that I actually found someone from 19 years ago. If I did not take that chance, I would currently be wondering "what if" or "where is".
Not anymore.
